i have been taking a photography course and we are not allowed to use our cameras in "auto" mode for class projects. here's an example of the huge difference between the auto and aperture settings on the camera. these 2 pics were taken at the same time and location. which baby looks more like the REAL max?

aperture.ding ding ding! #2 is correct!
so maybe the instructor has a point with all these rules.
